CWH261 - The Burnt Out Practice Owner: How Do You Face Financial Realities When None of Us Are Getting Paid Enough? With Casey Gromer, C-Suite Boutique

“By the way, none of us are getting paid enough. Like, let's just acknowledge that we all deserve a lot more money than we're getting.” - Casey Gromer

I live for the day when mental health providers can accept houseplants as payment for services rendered. Until then, money remains both the glue and the wedge of any practice owner/employee relationship. Thankfully, Casey Gromer can help us all navigate the sticky financial realities of small business life and feel more empowered regarding “the money stuff.”

Casey is the founder of C-Suite Boutique and host of the Female Founders Breaking Boundaries podcast. Her company specializes in helping visionary practice owners create profit by implementing leadership and accountability systems via strategic planning and progress tracking. “I'm a fractional integrator. That means I work with group practices to bridge the gap between the owner and the business,” she explains. “I bring all the functions of the business together––the finance, the marketing, the operations––and make sure everything's working so that the practice is healthy and clients are getting what they need.”

Employees, too, deserve to have their needs met. Sadly, practice owners rarely have the disposable income to accommodate everything on the staff wish list. Casey offers solid advice to avoid resentment and build stronger teams. “Practice owners really do care about their employees to the point that they forego paychecks so that the employees are taken care of.” She advocates for greater transparency and collaboration. “When employees are brought into the bigger picture, they feel valued and appreciated. They feel like they're a part of something bigger.”
